Willie Harcourt-Cooze, cocao farmer and pioneer of ‘bean to bar’ chocolate, makes some of the best chocolate in the world in small batches in his factory in Devon.
Willie’s chocolate journey began on his honeymoon in 1993, where Willie and his wife viewed and fell in love with a property in Venezuela.
Willie’s plantation was planted with 50,000 trees of one of the best quality cocoa types available – Criollo.
After learning all about Cocao and the chocolate making process in Venezuela, Willie and his wife moved back to Devon to set up their chocolate business.
In 2007 they began the reality of turning their dream into chocolate and Willies Cacao Chocolate production began.
