Uncle Joe’s have been producing sweets for over 125 years, with their most popular sweet – the mint ball – being produced in 1898.
Since then the fifth generation, family run, privately owned company are still making sweets and creating innovative recipes to expand the range whilst keeping the same traditional taste.
They have introduced the sugar free range, and in 2021 brought out their ‘mint with a hint’ range.
This was created by accident, when a staff member making a batch of sugar free mint balls added liquorice extract by mistake. When colleagues tasted them, they liked them so much they put them into production and have worked on other flavours.
